WK 4 - Jan 26th - Anything goes/ Celebrations - use Metallics

Time certainly seems to be flying doesn't it? Sunday already so that means we've got a brand new challenge for you but before we get to this weeks theme a big thank you to everyone who entered our last challenge! As always there were some amazing entries so we'd better announce the winners  from our Week 2 challenge Silver Lining/anything goes.

Right then back to business and this weeks theme is 
Anything goes
We've challenged the DT girlies to grab their metallic PanPastels and create something inspired by 'Celebrations' so if you want to play along with the DT theme then you'll get some extra brownie points lol. 

As always the team have created some stunning projects to inspire you, 

ZoeI have created a male Celebration card using metallic Pan Pastels, for more details please check out my blog.

Claire:  I've used metallic PanPastels and the gorgeous Butterfly mask available from Premium Art Brands



Terry I have made a Celebrations Choclit and matching card for my Mother in Law's 81st birthday, worked on it with the golden Metallic PanPastels and Glassy Gel. Lots of Metallics on the embellishments and inks on the borders



Tracy - Hi everyone, I have another whimsical piece of wood art to share with you all today.
The background, edging, splatters and the icing on the cakes { except the red } have all been created by using Metallic Pan Pastels on there own and mixed with Maimeri Gesso.
Scrap papers make great cup cake cases and tiered cakes with a frosting of Metallic Pans.

Lou: I have made a wedding card as my "celebration" this week using stamped images and my metallic pan pastels. Full details can be found onmy blog and would love you to pop over and say "hi".

WK 3 Anything goes!

Good morning and a very happy Sunday to you all, welcome to a new challenge and its a nice easy theme this week:
 'Anything Goes'
We've kept the DT busy by asking them to use a substrate other than paper or card so you'll get extra brownie points if you play along with the DTs theme. If you need some inspiration the Premium Craft Brands girls have created some amazing projects as usual but before you check them out I'm sure  you want to know who has won a fabby prize of Premium Craft Brands goodies! Zoe, I have made a mini canvas using black Pan Pastels for my background, I used Maemeri light modelling paste through the "Owl" mask, for more details please check out my blog.



Claire I've made a canvas topped with some MDF letters using a rainbow of PanPastel colours, Maimeri gesso, Maimeri Light Modelling paste and Maimeri Matte Gel. I've also used Graph'It markers


Tracy - Hello sweet friends, meet " Hope " who started life as a doodle doo on paper, before coming to life on wood with Pan Pastels and Maimeri Gesso.

Terry I have worked on a canvas and made the background with lots of Gesso, Modelling Paste and Metallic PanPastels. Worked with the Roses and Butterfly stencil and I just love them, had a play with a metall tool from Premium Craft Brands to create the background behind the butterfly to finish my project.

WK 1- Anything Goes/frosty finish - Pan Pastel UK Challenge

Happy New Year! 
We hope you are all rested and recovered from all the festivities and ready and up for a whole brand new year of challenges haha!

Firstly the whole team would like to say a huge thankyou to you all for checking in with us each week and for all the lovely comments you all leave - you inspire us to keep trying new things so you are an integral part of what we do here on the blog. 2014 is going to be a great year for Pan Pastels and for Premium Craft Brands with lots of new products and exciting developments so we can't wait to get stuck in!

Firstly, let's get last year's business done and dusted...

Don't forget, you don't have to use Pan Pastels or any of the Premium Craft Brands products to enter our challenges but we'd love it if you could show us projects where you do use them!

So, onto this week...As always our challenge for you at home is 
Anything Goes, 
but for the Design Team they were all asked to create a 
Frosty Finish
This means really we are asking them to produce snow or frost effects using either Pan Pastels or any of the Premium Crafts product lines. 
They produced some stunning effects and we know you guys at home will have some great ones to show us too so let's see what y'all got!

So let's see what the team made!...

Claire  I've altered a little wooden birdhouse, Its coloured with white and Raw Umber PanPastels and then added a frosty finish with lots of Maimeri Pearl white paint, glassy gel and gesso. The birdy was made with Maimeri Light Modelling Paste and coloured with pewter acrylic paint. The icicles are a mix of Maimeri glassy gel and glitter, left to dry and die cut with an icicle die.



Tracy - Hi everyone, today I have a quick recycled tag to share with you all using . . .
 Maimeri Gesso, Metallic Pan Pastels, Phthalo Blue Shade Pan along with . . . 
 . . . a little sprinkling of German Glitter Glass for an extra frosty feel.

Lou: I've gone in a different direction with my "Frosty Finish" and my focus was on the colours associated with "frost". I have used different diecuts embossed with the Barok 12" border stencil and coloured them using a versamark pen, metallic silver and soft blue pan pastels. Full details are on my blog.



Terry I worked on a box and made it a Frosty one, I started out with Gesso, Modelling Paste, Glossy Gel, Iridescent paste, worked on it with the heartshaped stencil, embossing powder, lace, wendy vecchi butterfly, just loveeeeeeeeeee this one, Crackle accents, blue panpastel and the Silver Metallic PanPastel.

Wk 51 Dec 22 - A quick and easy christmas gift - use fabric in some way

Good morning time for our last challenge before Christmas, I hope you're all fitting in some crafting time with all the rushing around getting ready for Santa!! Our theme this week is 
Anything goes
but we challenged the DT to create quick and easy Christmas gifts and to use fabric too! Of course they rose to the challenge and have come up with some awesome projects but before you check them out I bet you want to know who's the lucky winner from challenge 49. Our winner is...

Zoe I've used 3 tiny 3x3 inch canvasses to create this mixed media wall hanging of my three fostered baby girls who have all been adopted, please visit my blog to see more!




 Claire C I've made a pendant using fabric and PanPastels. It was a bit of an experiment but I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I've used Permanent Red and Gold PanPastels with Maimeri Glassy gel, for more details pop over to my blog

Terry I made a Christmas Tag, tried to make a snowy background with lots of Gesso, modelling paste and Metallic Silver PanPastels. The clock is made with modelling paste and used some shimmer on the bottom of the tag, some lace and sentiments and crackle to finish.

Wk 50 Dec 15 - Snowflakes

Good morning all, where did the last week go? I can't believe its time for a new challenge already, it'll soon be Christmas at this rate. Before the new challenge though, its time to announce the lucky winner of challenge 48 as chosen by random.org ....

'Snowflakes'
A nice easy theme again this week and of course we have a fab prize up for grabs from our sponsor Your Creativity Store too! You don't have to use PanPastels to enter but we love it when you do.

Now on to the inspiration from our talented design team, 

Zoe I used phthalo blue tint Pan Pastel to colour then versamark to stamp and Pewter metallics PP over stamps, please visit my blog to find out more





Claire C I've created a little scene using Ultramarine Blue tint PanPastel for the sky adding silver and pewter PanPastels to create the moon and the snowy hills. To create the snow in the sky I stamped a snow stamp with versamark and then dusted over with white and silver PanPastels. I've used Raw Umber and Burnt Sienna PanPastels to add some colour to the stamped images and die cut reindeer


Lou: I have used the Doily 1 mask from Premium Craft Brands as my inspiration for this weeks challenge, embossing all my layers with said mask and then highlighted the raised areas with Versamark and Silver metallic pan pastel.





Terry I made three Christmas Tags with lots of snowflakes on them. Worked on the tags with Modelling Paste, embossingpowder and lots of Metallic Silver PanPastels, some lace and sentiments. 



Tracy - Hi everyone, so sorry for the delay in posting my project! A quick snowflake was created with a few wooden pegs, Maimeri Matt Gel, Yellow Ochre, Light Gold Metallic pan along with pretty paper and German Glitter Glass.

Wk 49 - All about paper/card Pan Pastel UK Challenge

Good morning and welcome to a brand new challenge with some wonderful inspiration from our lovely DT.

Claire C I've recycled some corrugated card to create my little wall hanging, I've coloured the image with PanPastels and then added lots of die cuts, all coloured with fabby PanPastels...

Terry I have worked with a few dies and made a Christmas tree out of it, I have coloured the background of the tree with Versamark and Metallic PanPastels and a christmas sentiment stamp, this time the Golden and Silver Metallic PanPastels. I also played with the Metallic Pans on the stars. 
Lou: After a wee absence due to illness, I am finally back! I have made my card using a selection of dies and folders to create my card. I have even been brave and made the background paper using my bronze and copper metallic pan pastels.


Tracy  Hi everyone, Christmas for me is all about Family, Heart and Home, so what better way than to make an alternative Christmas card using Pretty papers, Maimeri Mediums, Pan Pastels and Studio 12 stamp.


I'm sure you'll be inspired by such gorgeous projects, remember you don't have to use PanPastels to enter our challenge although of course we love it when you do! The challenge is open until Tuesday 17th December so you've plenty of time to play along. Don't forget the rules, we don't have many but want to make sure its fair for everyone

Wk 48 Dec 1 - Winter Wonderland - use metallics ONLY plus ONE other colour

Right then, on to this weeks challenge which is 'Winter Wonderland', using metallics plus one other colour. Our extra twist for the DT was to use the gorgeous new metallic PanPastels plus one other colour but as they are so new we know not everyone has them yet so that doesn't apply to challenge entrants. The winner will be announced on Sunday 15th December and our lucky winner will receive a fabulous prize of goodies from Premium Craft Brands

Terry I made a Christmas Tag worked on it with lots of Modelling Paste and stencils for the background. Used the Silver Metallic PanPastels on my Tag and the Blue PanPastel.
