Back to our new challenge and today we're really thrilled to welcome our latest Guest Designer Alysha - hope you'll all be checking out her blog and we're really looking forward to seeing what she creates for us over the coming weeks, we love her free style and take on mixed media.

Alysha - This is my first Design Team post and I am so honored to be a part of a fabulous team of wonderfully  talented and friendly girls....

Here I have created a pennant/banner, using a texture embossing folder, home made texture paste, gesso. Permanent Red and Hansa Yellow Pan Pastels, Dyan Raveley stamps, glossy accents and a black gelato crayon and a text script stamp that's subtly on the background.
Hope you like my project and I look forward to seeing your designs for this challenge.
Hugs Aly xxx

Yvonne - Hi Alysha - great to have you along as guest Designer on our Challenge blog.
My project for this week is an aperture card with the main design being set behind the aperture - with a little PanPastel on the front which has been added through a stencil.  Hope you like this design - can't wait to see your entries into the Challenge.
I've photographed my card amongst my Mother's Day flowers - I do have vases but apparently jam jars are trendy!!!!  (showing my age) xxxxx

Claire C I've used my PanPastels to create a midnight scene. I love PanPastels for this kind of card, they blend beautifully and are so much more forgiving than using a brayer.

I've used a stencil to create the starry sky, applying  a mix of Glassy Gel Medium and glitter with a spatula. It looks so pretty and sparkly once the gel has dried

Terry: I had fun altering a hat and made it into a Shabby Chic one...what I did was, the first layer on it is Gesso, on top of the Gesso I played with the Pearlescent Violet Pan Pastel, when my layer was dry I played with Crackle and placed another layer of Pearlescent Pan on it.

On the top of the hat I used some Light Modelling Paste with a stencil of roses, you can hardly see it but trust me it is there. The Roses are colored with Pearlescent Violet and Magenta Extra Dark. Than I decided to use roses on the edge of the hat. I colored the roses with Iridescent Paste to give it an icy look. And offcourse I had to play with some lace and colored it with Iridescent Paste too.

The products that I have worked with are:

Congratulations ladies, your projects were fab-u-lous!! Don't forget to pick up your Top 3 badges for your blogs.

Time to have a peek at the DT's inspiration for you, they've been busy bees again this week...

Tracy Scott - Hi there everyone, great to be here today with you all....like lots of you out there I'm looooving to while away my time colouring in, it's just so relaxing and satisfying....
So this week I decided to make a card and coloured my image with a mix of PanPastels and coloured pencils....

The pans worked fabulously on the white card that I stamped my bird onto but also look amazing added directly to the Kraft card...

I coloured everything with the PanPastels first, I used a small applicator tool for the bird and also a fine dry paintbrush for detail and then used a larger sponge applicator to add my colours to the card itself. I went in afterwords with some coloured pencils in corresponding colours and added some finer detail...

To finish off I added my quote in black gel pen which writes perfectly over the PanPastels. Hope you love as much as I do, give it a try xxx

Yvonne - I had a real need to use Stampbord this week along with my PanPastels.  I decided to make a necklace but this piece could be used as a keyring, bag charm etc. This stamp is a much larger collage style and I do have to admit that when I stamped a small section on my Stampbord it was a sheer happy accident that "Destination" appeared perfectly at the bottom.  You can bet your bottom dollar that if I've planned that it wouldn't have worked first time!!!  I added a little charm and pearl to add a bit of luxury.  It would be lovely if you could pop along to my blog and let me know what you think. xxx

Claire C I've used my PanPastels to alter this box which came filled with lovely perfume and goodies for Christmas. It seemed a shame to throw it away so I've transformed it to create a memory box.

I've added lots of stencilling and distressing to my memory box, I love Pans for distressing as they're so much more forgiving than inks.

I love the rich metallic Pans, I've used Rich gold and Copper on my project, applying them over versamark really gives them loads of richness and depth

Terry: I have had fun making a Bottle Label ...First I made a Bottle Label out of the Template Polyester Bottle Label. I was simply drawing around the template and made my own Wine Label out of it. Don't worry if your pencil hits the template because it is very durable and can be whiped clean in a few seconds. Than I colored the background with the Red Iron Oxide PanPastel. When it was all dried up, I played with the Light Modelling Paste on the stencil that gave me a background of roses. On top I used the Chicken Wire.

Than I played with another layer of White Coarse PanPastel to give it a shine....and to top that off a few brushes of Iridescent Paste to seal the background. I decorated the Bottle Label with a Vintage Image of a adorable little girl. It is allmost like she is saying Cherish your Happiness....so luckily I had the sentiment and did not hessitate to use it. Around the Cute girl I placed some lace with pearls and also on the top and bottom. Underneith the image I placed some Roses that were worked on with Iridescent Paste and Crackle Accents, this way it looks like the roses are made out of Glass.....at least I think so...lol....and last but not least I used some butterflies from DD and placed them on some roses and on top of my Project.

Some of the products that I used are:
