This week we chose a novel theme of Earth, Wind and Fire. This doesn't have to literally show the three, we want to see your interpretation of them. Earth is really anything nature, wind can be clouds or movement, fire can be the colours of fire or a flame etc. Your project however, MUST CONTAIN AN ELEMENT OF ALL THREE to be valid for the random draw.
I set the DT their task and they, as always, came up with better than ever inspirational items.
Decoupage is still a very popular and traditional craft form, although with the advance of technology it's method and application style is almost endless as our DT projects show.
This week for our Create A Scene, we are pleased to welcome Mountain Ash Crafts as both our guest designer and also this weeks challenge sponsor. We regularly visit Mountain Ash Crafts in it's beautiful setting just outside Dudley, where the workshops and demonstrations are increasingly popular. It's a wonderful place to visit, you always receive a warm welcome with a smile and there are always staff on hand to answer any questions.
This weeks GDT spot was created by Jules (who also makes great coffee!)
Decide on the contours of your scene and apply the Pan Pastels working from dark in the foreground to lighter in the distance with blue to represent the sky. Stamp the trees in groups – Make the distant trees a little lighter by blotting ink from the stamp onto scrap paper. Don’t be afraid to overstamp some of the trees, particularly in the background to give them greater depth.
Our design team have been working away as always to produce these brilliant inspirational items. Thanks ladies, you never fail to come up with the goods.
Thank you to all our entrants, and a special thank you to Birgit for her wonderful features, and not forgetting our regular design team members who always create such amazing work.
Sunday 12th August, we have Mountain Ash Crafts as our guest designers and also our sponsor, so don't miss that one.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and if your in or around Worcester on Sunday, pop along to the Perdiswell Leisure Centre and visit the Daisy's Jewels and Crafts stand to see PanPastel and Sofft tools being demonstrated. We will answer any of your questions and also give you some useful hints and tips.
At last, we've had some summer weather in the last couple of weeks, and yes some rain as well, but that IS summer here in the UK. Thankfully the Olympics aren't being affected by the odd shower.
So, as it's summer, and summer is associated with fun, this weeks theme is Summer Fun. This theme is open to your interpretation, it's fun to see butterflies, birds and wild animals and flowers showing their best features. It can relate to holiday fun, garden fun etc. Show us what your ideas are.
This week, we are pleased to welcome a very talented guest designer Birgit Koopsen from the Netherlands.
Below are a few images of Birgits excellent work. To see more pictures and her fully descriptive recipe's, visit our new Special Features page where Birgits full contribution to this weeks GDT is featured. Featured are a Journal Page, a Canvas and a Card so there is plenty to inspire us all.
The winner of our Challenge 29 is entry number 11 - Marian.
Congraulations Marian. Please email me with your details within the next 7 days to claim your prize panpasteluk@gmail.com

Thank you to everyone who entered, unfortunately again one or two did not meet the entry criteria so had to be deleted prior to the draw.
We hope everyone will join us again on Sunday however when we have a fresh new challenge and also a superb guest designer who will also have a full recipe list on our new Special Features page.
