As always our DT have been creating some mixed media magic, let's check out what they've been up to this week:

Tracy Evans - We are approaching Halloween so it seemed appropriate to create something this week to celebrate!

Yvonne - A cheerful meadow scene for you today.  All details over on my blog.

Nikky...Autumn is by far my favourite season. This image is from Oddball Art and I just adore her, check out my blog for more details. I coloured this image with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolour pencils - I was a bit stupid and forgot as usual to write my colours down as I went along, needless to say it was a selection from the 72 set LOL! I had to make a really quick make as I had no time whatsoever so I literally just cut this out and threw it on a background...

When I came to do my photo I hadnt had chance to make a card and she looked really dull just cut out so I threw - literally - a quick little canvas together using a watercolour art board. I had all my stash in the car and couldnt be bothered to get it all out so I mixed up green, red, purple and phthalo green pan pastels with water to create a very watery wash and then just dripped and splattered it on the canvasboard, and stamped a little sentiment. As I was splashing about a bit I got loads of splashes onto the image but I like it - gives her character I think! As the pencils are oilbased they resisted most of the pastel which was very cool so it enabled me to sponge off the excess. I love mixing products together and sometimes making yourself just do something within 5 minutes and then not fiddling about any further can be quite productive.

Claire C: I love to use my PanPastels to make scenic cards, they are so easy to use and give a lovely effect in just a few minutes. I love to use Memento Inks to stamp, they work beautifully over Pans

Terry: I had loads of fun with a canvas, at first I did not know HOW to start but when I made the background with Gesso, Light Modelling Paste and lots of colours PanPastels the idea that I had in my head came out the way I wanted too. I have worked on the flowerarrangement with Transparant crackle and colored the hearts that I made out of the empty cardboard Hearts from Dutch Doobadoo, with lots of Metallic PanPastels. To Finish I placed some sentiments on the picture of the family and underneith.

The products that I have worked with are:

Wow, beautiful makes girls, and we can't wait to see yours too!!

We'll be back next week with the winner and Top 3 from our last challenge so don't forget to pop back
