Challenge 49 - Christmas Time

It's our last Challenge of 2012 and of course it's Christmas time, so that is the theme this week.  Be it a present, Christmas tree, as long as it's a Christmas theme item it's fine.  Remember, it doesn't have to be a card, you can enter altered pieces, journal pages, canvas etc.

Sadly, this week is the final week for our treasured DT member Gillian who is stepping down to pursue her career in the New Year.  We wish her all the very best and much success in her studies.

I would also like to add a personal HUGE thank you to Kerry, Lindsay, Eileen, Claire, Brenda and Gillian for their hard and inspiring work this year, both on the Challenge Blog and also behind the scenes for TV, magazine articles etc.  Thank you ladies, you've been fantastic.

And last but not least, Berni and Paul without whom non of this would be possible - Thank you.

Merry Christmas everyone, and may all your dreams and wishes come true in the New Year.

Pete

Challenge 48 - Song or Carol Title

This week is our penultimate challenge for 2012 and we thought we'd try a musical theme, a song or carol title in the project theme.

It does not have to be a card, we'd love to see scrapbook pages, journal pages, altered items, canvases etc. It must however, be a fully finished item.

I have certainly got some fantastic titles this week from our resident Design Team.

Kerry's תWe Are Familyת

Eileen's תTulips From Amsterdamת

Claire's תFrosty The Snowmanת

Gillian's תFrosty The Snowmanת

Lindsay's תLet It Snowת

Brenda's תOh Christmas Treeת

Challenge 47 - Gift Time

And so as we head into December and up towards Christmas, most of our time will be spent thinking about what to buy that special person, family and friends.  However, like me, my sister also has a birthday just before Christmas, and my brother has his birthday on 2nd January, so it's not only about Christmas gifts.

The gift can be for any occasion, Christmas, birthday, anniversary etc, as long as the entry relates to a gift in some way, then it will be eligible for the draw.

Our Design Team have given us a fantastic variety of gift related ideas.

Challenge 45 - Red and Green

To start off the build up to Christmas, we are looking at the two main 'traditional' colour's used for Christmas theme's, red and green.  However, these aren't just for Christmas.

Blocked, striped or blended, as long as it is red and green then we want to see it please, it can be for any occasion, not just Christmas.

Our regular design team are spot on as usual, so use their beautiful inspirational samples to give you some ideas.

Challenge 44 - Make An Embelishment

This week, we would like you to make an embelishment for you project. Embelishments take many forms so it's open to interpretation.  If you've never thought of making your own, give it a try, go for it, experiment, that's what we like to see.

Our DT have come up with these brilliant inspirational projects to get your creative juices flowing.
