Let's have a look at this weeks inspiration from the DT

Doreen-I covered my background with Permanent Red, Phthalo Blue and Black Panpastels while masking off the moon with a punched circle. I  stamped my image and this was then mounted onto white and black card

Anjie - To create this card I used 2 of the roses from the Roses A5 stamp set and stamped them to create the corner. I stamped some of them a few times and decoupaged them up. I then used the frame and sentiment stamp and the roses in bud stamp to create the message section. For the background I used the A4 Butterfly mask and embossed it onto white card.

Yvonne - For my Birthday card this week I've used Hansa Yellow and Pthalo Blue Shade - no green!.  I blended the two colours over the background then masked off a square with a post it note.  I then stamped the raindrops and branches and removed the post it note.  More details on my blog would love you to pop over.

Claire C  I've used my PanPastels to create a distressed, vintage feel to some free backing papers to create my card. adding a little stamping with versmark and more PanPastels

Lou: I have used old book pages to create my layers, all coloured with pan pastels. The flowers and butterflies have then been embossed to add sparkle and shine to my project. Full details are on my blog.

Products I have used:

Terry: I have made a |Birthday Bag, A Shabby Chic one this time, I have worked with lots of lace, Gesso, Light Modelling Paste, Pink Pearlescent PanPastels, White Coarse and a few Dutch Doobadoo Hearts, flowers and a cute image of a vintage girl. The top layer is Irisdescent Paste, to give it a nice shimmer......

Challenge 2 Happy Birthday

Good morning everyone and a big thank you to everyone who played along with our last challenge! We'll be announcing the winner and Top 3 next week but today its time for a brand new challenge and this time around our theme is

Happy Birthday
so that gives you lots of scope, you can make a card or perhaps a gift or something to celebrate a special birthday.

As always we've got some lovely stash up for grabs for our lucky winner thanks to those lovely folk at Your Creativity Store (colours may vary)

Mask stencil 6 x 6 inches Dutch   Magenta PanPastel

As always those talented girlies on the DT have been creating loads of inspiration for you so lets have a look what they've been busy with this week

Doreen-I sponged my background with Chromium Oxide Green and Permanent Green then stamped my image with Versamark and sponged over again with Chromium Oxide Green.
I doodled around the image with a white pen and around the edge of the card with a black pen.
I then added the sentiment and ribbon.xxx

Anjie - I used the Postcard stamp set to creaet this card. I've stamped some things onto white card and some on the polka dot paper. I've given the edges of everything a distressed effect using a distressing tool and the Orange Extra Dark Pan Pastel. I used some of the stamps on the paper as well to make a different background.

Yvonne - I used torn paper for the coloured band across the middle to put in the colours of Panpastels.  Before removing the torn paper I stamped in the butterflies.  The top butterfly was stamped cut out and added to the card.  Please pop over to my blog for more details.

Claire C I've made a card and little gift box using the Versamark and PanPastel technique, its so quick and easy its perfect for a quick make. the butterflies are from the gorgeous Postcard stamp set,, I've stamped them on acetate and then layered them on double sided adhesive before applying Blue Pearl PanPastel, they have a lovely shimmer in real life

Tracy ~ Happy Birthdays would not be the same without a layer or two of . . . Cake!
To create ~ a quick doodle doo before adding some deelish Pan Pastels for the icing on the cake . . .
. . . along with a playful rendition of " Happy Birthday to you " to finish.

Lou: I have used our theme to create a birthday card for my Step-mother. I have used the lovely heart stencil with my pan pastels. Full details and more photos are on my blog.

Products I used:

Terry: I have altered a Birthday booklet, the background is made with Gesso, Light Modelling Paste and the Roses Stencil from Dutch Doobadoo. On top I have played with the White and Black Coarsee Pearlescent PanPastels.. And on top of that I painted with Iridescent Paste to get a shiny top. And offcourse I could not resist to place a cute vintage girly image on the book.
